Nxai Pan NP Sightings

We paid no more than a brief visit to Nxai Pan on our way to Maun, but anyhow we saw many different animals such as zebras and jackals in no more than just a few game drives.

The park has lots of open grassy plains, where beautiful sunsets can be enjoyed. Those open plains might make you think of Serengeti, although it’s harder to spot animals here. It’s not easy to spot other cars either, which makes Nxai Pan look like a rather deserted area.

Thoughts about Nxai Pan

In English, the name of this park is pronounced like “Nai Pen”.

Perhaps this park is not that famous for its wildlife, but much more for its big baobabs. In an area that forms part of the park now, Thomas Baines painted his Boabab trees in the 19th century. These trees are still worth a visit.
